New Features Coming for Alarm.com iOS Users
Mountain Alarm and our partner, Alarm.com, are excited to announce the launch of several new Apple widget options for easy system control, at-a-glance awareness, and greater security. These features will be rolled out to Mountain Alarm customers who use iOS over the next few weeks.
System Control Widget
The System Control Widget provides you with easily accessible, one-touch commands for your interactive Mountain Alarm system. With placement options on the Home screen or Today View, you can control your security panel, locks, lights, garage doors, and more right from your phone and without opening the Alarm.com app. Plus, you can run Scenes on the go for seamless automation.
Saved Clips Widget
You can view your saved video clips right from the Home screen with the Saved Clips Widget to effortlessly keep tabs on everything. Choose from a variety of size options to seamlessly view thumbnails of recently saved clips at a glance. Long press the widget to change the view to clips from a specific camera, a camera group, or all cameras on your account. To quickly take a closer look, simply tap the desired thumbnail to watch the recorded footage.
Safety Button Widget
The Safety Button Widget provides around-the-clock personal protection. You’ll be able to quickly trigger the Safety Button right from your phone’s Home screen to silently sum-mon police, fire, or emergency medical assistance from wherever you are in the country. Once activated, you’ll be connected with a trained operator who will dispatch responders to your location. (This feature requires the In-App Safety Button service package add-on.)
Once available, these widgets will be easily accessible by touching and holding the Home Screen to reveal the widget Add button and open the iOS widget gallery.
