October is National Fire Prevention month–what better time to review how well you’re equipped to protect your home and office in the tragic event of a fire.

The National Fire Protection Association recommends homes have smoke detectors inside each bedroom, outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home.
You should test your smoke detectors every month. But, now is also a great time to replace the batteries, which should be done annually.
Make sure all elements of your fire alarm system are operating correctly. Check that your fire extinguisher inspections are up to date and that everyone is familiar with how to use them.
